Levine poem "What Work Is" describes the position of people who look for jobs and what their hardship is. They wait for jobs in the rain for a long time. While Levine is looking for jobs in line, he see his brother in front of him. However, when he looks carefully, he finds it is someone else's brother, not his. They don't leave the line for working until they hear a guy says they are not hiring today. He feels so sad an unfair. His brother has a good shift job, well paid and leisure time to do what he likes to do. But he still wants to look for jobs, no matter what job he looks for. Even he doesn't what jobs he is looking for-----that is why he doesn't have job.

I tried to look for job when it was summer last year. I didn't have idea what kind of job was suitable for me. I just wanted to work and earn money.

In general, men are stronger than women. That's why most people believe that men should take more responsibility and earn more money for living, especially in Asia. For instance, Janpanese women would't go to work after they got married. They just take care of their children and do housework in the past. Even women could go to work, men still are the strongest ones who provide financial support.
Women are equal to men in working for living nowadays. In many marriages there has been a complete role reversal with the man staying at home and the woman going out to work. It is anti-tranditional, but it develops our society.
When I was child, my parents worked at the same company. Their positions were similar so that their salaries had no difference at that time. However, my mom got another job and she earned more money than my dad did seven years ago. We lived as in the past, nothing has changed. I don't think it is the matter that who go out to work or who earn more money. Men and women should have equal rights to do what they like to do.
It doesn't matter who are the strongest ones to support their familes. It doesn't matter which jobs should belong to men or which are women-dominated. Which job you get doesn't depend on which gender you are.

Post 2 The status in my family and friends

I am the only child in my family. I respect my parents. And they love me, too. Every member's status is as equal as the others. My parents allow me to do what I would like to do. I don't limit them to do anything . When I am in trouble, parents give me some suggests to help me. I am glad to chat with them when they are unhappy. The relationship among us just likes what friends have.
I think the status among friends should be equal, too. Beacuse we are friends, not employer and employee. If the status are not equal, I don't guess the friendship will be last for a long time. Maybe you are smarter than your friends, but it doesn't mean you have higher statu. If they have problem, you can help them nicely. Maybe someone else are very patient about her friends. So when you feel sad, you could talk to her.
I don't believe the status among my family and friends are different. Love and recept are essential .
